Assessment is on-going within classes, with children being assessed against the Early Learning Goals in EYFS (from a base-line assessment in Term 1 of YR) and the objectives of NC2014 from Y1 to Y6.
Pupil Progress Meetings are held at the end of every 2nd term to monitor individual progress and to judge the efficacy of interventions etc.
Formal Statutory Assessments are conducted in Y1 for Phonics in Term 5 and in Y2 and Y6 for their SATs in Term 5.
Y2 and Y6 pupils now have SATs tests in Reading, GPS (Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling) and Maths. They are teacher-assessed for their Writing and Science.
