We are writing to invite you to our Welcome Service to be held at St Swithun’s Church, Leonard Stanley, at 10:30am on Wednesday 22nd September 2021. All family members are most welcome to join us for the service. The children will walk to school with their Teachers and Teaching Assistants (Reception children will walk with their Buddies). They will need a waterproof coat with them in case of rain.
If you would like to sit facing the altar, we would be grateful if you could kindly wait at the rear of the church until all of the children are seated and then fill any remaining chairs. You are welcome to sit in the choir stalls or the seats placed between the stalls but please leave the chairs in the main body of the church for the classes. These measures are necessary because the school has grown a lot in the last few years and it is becoming ever-more of a squeeze to get all of the children in.
The church will be well-ventilated but I would politely ask that attending family wear face-coverings as part of sensible Covid-caution.
May I also politely remind you that photos are not allowed as we have children with specific safeguarding protocols attached to them.
We would encourage all attendees to walk to church if possible but if you are driving, may I take this opportunity to kindly ask you to park responsibly (e.g. in the Pavilion car park next to the village hall) so as not to block the bus route.
Thank you for your helpful co-operation and kind regards.
