Visit from our MP Siobhan Baillie – Y6
Siobhan Baillie (our local MP) visited our school, to talk to Year 6 and Reception class about her job and the issues she discusses and votes on in Parliament. We prepared a list of questions for her to answer e.g.
Is it fun being an MP and is this a role you always wanted to do?
What three things would you spend money on in schools?
Does your job get in the way of your personal life?
What is the most important change you made in the past?
Do you help every small business and how?
What do you plan on doing next for the environment?
We did want to ask Siobhan Baillie more questions but the ones we got to ask she answered honestly and in full detail. It was very interesting to hear about her day to day life as an MP. We were really grateful for her taking the time to visit our school and listen to our views… and we look forward to welcoming her back soon!
