World Book Day

So here at Leonard Stanley Primary, we’d like to promote reading for pleasure by celebrating World Book Day in school on Thursday 2nd March. Children will be taking part in various fun book-themed activities throughout the day and cosy, treat-filled reading sessions. There are ideas for home too – see

We have decided to have a ‘Bedtime Stories’ theme this year. To make the day extra special, we would like to encourage children to dress in their cosiest pyjamas to celebrate the day. Please can they bring a copy of their favourite book into school too.
All children will be given a book token, which will enable them to claim a World Book Day book for FREE in participating shops, so look out for these in book bags.
