Exploring India through maps – Y6

As we embarked on our Geography topic ‘Investigating India’, Year Six spent time studying various maps associated with the country. We used atlases and Google Earth to research India’s location within Asia, the country’s physical characteristics and those features influenced by human development. Our findings led to whole-class discussions regarding India’s population, key urban areas, major rivers, mountainous regions, climate and rural land use.
