Forest School Church

On a crisp, sunny winter’s day the whole school took part in our ‘Forest Church at Christmas’ nativity trail. Working in class groups (some of us with our buddies) we recalled key events in the nativity story through a series of outdoor activities around the school grounds. Our journey began in the Spiritual Garden and finished at the Outdoor Classroom – which many of us agreed resembled the stable where Jesus was born. The activities required us to think, search, make and be active! We also took time to consider what Christmas really means to us and to write our ideas on heart-shaped decorations for the nature area.
