As a governor, I feel it is essential to do all I can to help ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive academically and in every other way whilst enjoying their time attending our school. Reverend Steve Harrison
Type of Governor: Incumbent
Appointed by: The Diocese
Governor since: 2018
Register of Business/Pecuniary Interests: None
Committee: Ethos
Profile: I became a member of the warmly welcoming Leonard Stanley community in August 2017, leading the ministry and covering the fifteen parishes of the Stroudwater Benefice, after moving from a parish in Durban, South Africa. Some people are amazed that I would leave beautiful, sunny South Africa to come and live and work in this part of the world. Part of the push was the security situation there and diminishing opportunities for our children – I am privileged to father two teenage girls. The pull was family living in the UK, fresh opportunities in my ministry and for my wife, Olivia. Moving forward, not only would I like to nurture the excellent relationship with the Church that already exists at Leonard Stanley School, but also I recognise one of the many challenges is to explore ways in which we can help those not in church, or who are disaffected with church, to find a relationship with Jesus and to help them grow in their faith. In my spare time, I enjoy camping, motorcycling, fly-fishing and reading, time with family and friends, travelling and experiencing new places and people.
Mrs. Helen Jackson

My wish is to support the school in promoting its Christian values and distinctiveness.

My life before children was within the equestrian world, training people and horses in the discipline of dressage.
