Profile: My association with Leonard Stanley School began in 1989 when I was appointed as a Key Stage 1 Teacher. During the 27 happy years I spent in that role, I served on the Governing body twice as the Staff Representative. Not wanting to walk away when I retired, I was very fortunate to be asked to fill the role of LA Governor.
As a governor, I feel it is essential to do all I can to help ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive academically and in every other way whilst enjoying their time attending our school. The caring, friendly and supportive ethos shown to all involved in school life, has always impressed me and is something I will strive to encourage and maintain through my role of Co-Chair.

I was delighted to be appointed as a governor and am committed to ensuring all children are given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
In my professional life I have been a journalist for the BBC, Head of Communications for the police and now split my time between communications for our local council and a county-wide coalition which strives to make Gloucestershire a better place for young people.
