Stroud Cricket Competition – great effort by all!

The school entered the Stroud Cricket competition, and the 2 teams both managed to get through to the quarter finals.
The A team were successful enough to get all the way to the final, beating Gastrells to get to the County finals.

At the finals we won 2, lost one in the group stages, but with the most runs scored – we sneaked through as best runner up. In the semi finals we fielded amazingly to defend only 40 runs to reach the FINAL.
St Helens school, from South Glos, proved good competition beating us – but second in the whole county is a fabulous result – well done all.

Our girl cricketers travelled to Frocester CC and competed well in the competition – winning 2 matches, losing 2. With most new to cricket , this is a fabulous effort !!
